Brian Wong is an active solo pianist, collaborative pianist and orchestral keyboardist currently based in New York City. Passionate about creating music with others, Brian has been the pianist for the studios of a wide variety of artists including Anthony Griffey, Bonita Boyd, Joel Smirnoff and Robert Langevin and is currently employed at The Juilliard School as a staff pianist.
Highlights of the 2020-2021 season include performances at Alice Tully Hall, The Juilliard School and Carnegie Hall. Brian is the recipient of multiple scholarships including the Shendell Scholarship, the Turkenich Piano Scholarship, the L & G Goldberg Scholarship, P. & A. Shaffer
Scholarship and Irene Diamond Fellowship at The Juilliard School.
Prior to Juilliard, Brian was awarded the Jean Barr Scholarship, Ruth and Arno Drucker Scholarship and Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme to fully support his studies at the Eastman School of Music. In addition to being a fellow at SongFest, Brian has also been selected as an Arts Leadership Certificate student at Eastman School of Music, equipping himself with the ability to communicate effectively and provide leadership in musical culture.
Brian is currently pursuing his Graduate Diploma in Collaborative Piano at the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Dr. Lydia Brown and Prof. Jonathan Feldman. Additional studies include Brian Zeger, Cameron Stowe and J.J. Penna.
A graduate of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Eastman School of Music, he studied piano with Dr. Mary Mei-loc Wu and Dr. Jean Barr. He was awarded the title 'Hong Kong Scholar” by the HKSAR Government in 2017.
