About Emanuel Ax
Emanuel Ax is one of the most celebrated pianists of our time. A seven-time Grammy Award winner, he has performed with the world's leading orchestras and appears regularly on the great concert stages of North America, Europe, and Asia.
Born in what is now Lviv, Ukraine, Ax studied at The Juilliard School and rose to international prominence after winning the first Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in 1974. Beyond the concert hall, he is a devoted mentor and educator, known for his generosity in sharing his artistry with the next generation of musicians — making this masterclass a rare and inspiring opportunity.
