The Boston Conservatory at Berklee
Alison Bieber is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance. Originally from West Michigan, she was an active member of Opera Grand Rapids and a finalist in the Opera Grand Rapids Vocal Collegiate Competition at age 19. Collaborations include solo performances with the Grand Rapids Symphony, Failure: Lab, and concerts within the community. During her undergraduate training, she studied and performed with the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, and OperaWorks 2016 Emerging Artist Program in Los Angeles, California.
Alison has formal training in Opera and Musical Theater, with recent interests in Cabaret and Jazz. Her passion for music began as a young singer/songwriter, influenced by classic rock, pop, and country music.
Currently pursuing her Master’s in Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts, she has been a 1:1 private music instructor, 1:1 band rehearsal instructor, 1:3 drum circle instructor, and 1:1 life skills instructor, music instructor, and Board Director with The MUSE Foundation. She has experience accommodating her music instruction to an array of different disabilities and severity levels. Research interests include the intersection of music and communication, vocal roles in gender performance, and music as a social language.
