Violinist Hyeji Jeong began her musical training in both piano and violin at an early age. She has performed actively as a soloist and a member of a piano trio, and was invited to perform with the National Independence Orchestra at the KBS Concert Hall. She also appeared regularly at national and diplomatic events in South Korea, including memorial concerts, embassy events, diplomatic relations receptions, and end-of-year celebrations. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded certificates of appreciation by organizations.
After beginning her college studies, Hyeji continued to develop her artistry and has since built a dynamic performance career as a soloist and as an orchestral and chamber musician. She has received numerous accolades, including a concerto competition win and a string contest prize during her academic studies. In addition to live performances, she has worked as a recording artist on various recording and video projects. She founded Tempus Chamber Music and was a founding member and violinist of the Genèse String Quartet. One of the highlights of her chamber career includes a featured performance in a recital for the Cincinnati Opera’s Don Giovanni event. Deeply committed to community engagement, she has also performed in outreach concerts at airports, banks, offices, churches, and cafes, sharing her music in both traditional and non-traditional settings.
Hyeji has further enriched her musical experience through festivals and seminars, including the Bowdoin International Music Festival, the UC-CCM Chamber Music Intensive, the Calidore String Quartet Seminar, and the Juilliard String Quartet Seminar. Her chamber music training includes mentorship from esteemed musicians, including Kurt Sassmannshaus, Philip Ying, Liz Freivogel, Ayane Kozasa, Kristin Lee, Keith Robinson, Sandra Rivers, Nick Photinos, and members of the Ariel String Quartet, Calidore String Quartet, and Juilliard String Quartet.
Beyond her classical foundation, she has appeared at Norwegian DJ Kygo’s live shows, music broadcasting programs, and performed in Fever’s Candlelight concerts and Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience.
Hyeji earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Prof. Kurt Sassmannshaus. She also holds a B.A. and M.A. in violin performance from Pensacola Christian College, where she served as a graduate assistant.

Hyeji's approach to teaching centers on creating a non-toxic, supportive learning environment where students feel safe, motivated, and confident. She prioritizes mental well-being, high-quality instruction, and structured, goal-oriented lessons tailored to each student's needs.
