Kaitlin Obien-Thompson

Kaitlin Obien-Thompson is a contemporary gospel and worship singer from Santa Clarita, California. She comes from a long line of musicians, singers, and piano players who influenced her love of music from a young age. She began singing in church at 7 years old and has followed in her family’s footsteps becoming a worship and band leader ranging from solo singing, to gospel choirs, and small ensembles.

Kaitlin graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in 2018 where she studied Musical Theater and has been casted in various musical workshops, readings, and shows in New York City. At AMDA, she continued to refine her sound and brought the passion of gospel to her musical theater training. While Kaitlin’s love for musical theater will always be there, her heart is for contemporary gospel. Kaitlin is a mezzo soprano and focuses her teaching on developing individualistic style and sound.
