Rachelle Armstead is a passionate musician and educator who has been teaching private lessons in composition, violin, and guitar for four years. In 2022, she received a Master of Music in Composition from the University of South Carolina School of Music. Since graduating, she has focused primarily on teaching, expanding her studio to over 30 active students. Outside of teaching, she works as a composer and recording artist, specializing in musical storytelling with a particular focus in scoring for visual media. She has composed for films such as Nefarious, which won Best Horror Film at the L.A. Olympus Film Festival, and Shame, which was exhibited at the South Carolina State Museum. Additionally, her pieces have been premiered by international soloists such as violist Brett Deubner.
