Zoe Obadia is a saxophonist, composer, and teacher based in New York City. Originally from New Jersey, she began playing at a young age and became immersed in a community of great musicians and educators there. She moved to New York in 2014 to attend the Juilliard School, where she studied with Ron Blake, Kenny Washington, Dan Block and others, earning an undergraduate and masters degree. She has since performed in the city as a leader and sideperson at venues such as Dizzy’s, Mezzrow, Birdland, Ornithology, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Zoe has a passion for teaching. In addition to teaching private lessons to students of all ages, she has been a faculty member at the Jazz House Kids Summer Workshop and has taught lessons at Fordham University. Her teaching style focuses on building fundamentals while getting to know each student and their unique musical interests.
