Cellist Annamarie Wellems is a performer and educator based in Denver, Colorado. She has appeared with the Chicago, Detroit, Charleston and Colorado Symphony Orchestras, and served as principal of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. She received her early training at the Music Institute of Chicago Academy and went on to earn her Bachelor's from Rice University's Shepherd School of Music and Master's from the Cleveland Institute of Music. In 2019, he won the Principal Bassoon position with the Billings Symphony Orchestra and was the grand prize winner of the Sherman Walt Merit Award Competition. He holds a Performance Studies Certificate from The Colburn School and a Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory.
