Last summer, Emmett toured with various bands across the United States as well as Portugal. Emmett recently won second place in the Jarek Smietana Jazz Guitar competition.

Laura has also appeared as a soloist, chamber musician, and with orchestras in China, Japan, Israel, Italy, Argentina, Chile, and throughout the United States. In 2015, Laura founded the Linos trio, which toured South America and produced an album premiering music of contemporary Latin American composers. Laura serves as flute faculty at the Portland Conservatory of Music and Director of the Conservatory’s Preparatory Program.

Her first exposure to traditional music was in high school, when she began learning banjo from a local instructor in Toronto.
